Make Up Exams

If a student misses an exam, s/he can make it up in either SCS office. Due to the volume of exams proctored in our office and the limited space for student seating, please follow these steps:
  • Ask the student who needs to take a makeup exam to contact the SCS office in either Chicago or Evanston a) to confirm that we have received a copy of the exam and instructions for its proctoring and b) to arrange an appointment for the makeup exam. A time must be scheduled during business hours.
  • Please deliver the exam to the SCS offices in person or by fax, to (847) 491-3660 in Evanston, or (312) 503-4942 in Chicago.
Please note: the instructor must indicate the number of students expected to take the exam as well as any other special instructions.
  • Please include with the copy of the exam complete instructions on how the exam should be returned to you-either by mail or in your SCS mailbox.

In the case of incomplete grades, please refer to the section in this handbook on Incompletes.
