Pay & Paychecks
Salary is paid in equal monthly installments and mailed to
faculty members on the last day of each month of the term.
Please inform the SCS Program Coordinator (Lorraine Thomas,
(312) 503-8397; l-thomas@northwestern.edu)
if you prefer to have your check mailed to you or held
in
the SCS office. Direct deposit is available to all SCS faculty.
Direct Deposit forms may be obtained at the Department
of
Human Resources in Abbot Hall or from the Program Coordinator.
Lecturers not otherwise employed by the University will have
their checks sent to their preferred mailing address (home
or office). If an instructor is employed by another department
in the University, then the SCS paycheck will be combined
with any salary received from that department and will be
distributed from that office.
Under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, all
employees who have not received a Northwestern University
paycheck within the last year, or whose employment commenced
later than August of 1986, must present proof of eligibility
to work in the United States. Personnel will not release paychecks
to employees who have not submitted an I-9 form to their office.
In order to receive a final paycheck, instructors must turn
in a final grade sheet to the SCS office.
