Summer Field Studies are credit-earning off-campus programs that supplement classroom learning and allow students to expand their skills at locations throughout the United States.

SESP Summer Field Studies: San Francisco

The San Francisco Field Studies Program is open to any Northwestern student interested in social policy, workplace learning, or human services. The program helps students explore potential careers within a structured learning experience. The cultural context of San Francisco allows students to investigate how a particular occupation and urban environment shape one another.

The Washington, D.C., Field Studies Program is open to any Northwestern student interested in social policy, government, or journalism. The program helps students explore potential careers within a structured learning experience. The political context of Washington, D.C., allows students to investigate how a particular occupation and the government shape one another.
