Preparatory Coursework

Prospective students should speak with an SCS admissions counselor for further information.

Please Note: This program is designed to meet the needs of career changers. It is not intended as a records-enhancement program. Students who have already completed the majority of science requirements as recent undergraduates should not apply. The AMCAS web site has helpful information about alternative premedical programs.

Admission Process

To apply, students must complete an online application form and submit supplemental application materials to the SCS Admissions Office; 339 East Chicago Avenue, Wieboldt Hall, Sixth Floor; Chicago, Illinois 60611. Complete the online application now.

Due to the sequential format of the science courses, students may only start in the summer or fall. If you wish to begin in a specific quarter, you must submit an application by the appropriate deadline. Applications are reviewed by the admissions committee once all application materials are received.

Please Note: Applications for Premedicine are not evaluated on a rolling admissions basis. Applications will be evaluated after the application deadline has passed. Admission letters will be sent within two weeks of the application deadline.
