Creative Writing: Fiction
This program examines the craft of fiction writing in a
small workshop setting. Students prepare their material for
instructor and peer review and analyze published stories.
Structure, point of view, style, and other elements of craft
and technique are studied in detail. This program is appropriate
for those who have a serious interest in fiction writing,
whether they are seeking publication or entrance to competitive
graduate
writing programs. Courses are taught by instructors who are
published authors. Evening writing courses at the School of Continuing Studies are offered on Northwestern's Evanston and Chicago campuses.
