The International Studies certificate program offered by Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies is designed to develop global perspective skills, critical thinking abilities, and the cultural sensitivity to work with people from all backgrounds. While some students use this course work as a stepping stone to graduate programs, others may utilize international studies in business consulting, journalism, education, public affairs, or any other area that requires an international and cross-cultural perspective.

CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS (Choose 6 Courses)

* Economics courses typically require prerequisite courses. See individual course descriptions. Other courses with international topics may be applied to this program.

To register for this program, please complete an Academic Plan form (PDF Format) and a Registration form (PDF Format). NOTE: Students enrolled in this PDP prior to the 2006-07 academic year only need to complete four courses to complete their certificate.
