The Chicago Loop and Schaumburg
Students taking courses at these satellite locations should purchase books at Abbott Hall, 710 Lake Shore Drive, on the Chicago Campus. For a small additional charge books may be shipped directly.

Hotels

For Information on area hotels, one possible resource to check is: http://www.univsvcs.northwestern.edu/travel/chicago_hotels.htm. The School of Continuing Studies does not provide reservation services for students or instructors and does not guarantee posted room rates or availability.

How do I get my Certificate?

Within three months following the completion of your final course, complete and return the Certificate Completion form (PDF Format) to the Registration Office on the Chicago Campus. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing and mailing certificates.

Parking

Chicago:
You can park in either the 222 E. Huron parking garage or the 321 E. Erie parking garage. For a reduced rate, the parking ticket can be validated in Wieboldt Hall. On street parking is always an option.

Evanston:
Students may park without a permit in most lots on the Evanston campus after 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and in all lots during the weekend. Please refer to the map in our catalog or on our website for the location of parking lots. Parking is restricted in certain lots. Please note, on-campus parking before 4 p.m. is restricted to vehicles displaying a parking permit. For additional information, contact the Parking Office in Evanston at 847-491-3320.

Chicago Loop:
When attending classes at the Chicago Loop location, students may park for a reduced rate at Trader’s Self-Park Garage at 326 S. Wells from 4 to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The parking ticket must be validated with the SCS staff at the Loop location.

Program Information

Please note that students enrolled in noncredit classes are not issued NetIDs. Students may use Northwestern University’s libraries, however, books cannot be checked out.
