The first of a three-course introductory biological sequence with laboratory that is intended to fulfill the premedical biology curriculum requirement for nonbiology majors. Principles of genetics and evolution, with an emphasis on reasoning skills and theories that form the basis of our understanding of biology. Prerequisite: CHEM 101 recommended; biology majors should take BIOL SCI 210-1. Enrollment is limited to 48. Biological sciences laboratory courses are not open to auditors. This course counts toward the Weinberg College natural sciences distribution requirement, Area I.
