The College Bridge Program 2009
Thanks to a partnership between the
Chicago Public Schools and Northwestern University, we are
pleased to admit a
select group of high school juniors from CPS to the College
Bridge Program each summer. Each participant may enroll
in one undergraduate course, for which he or she receives
credit. Tuition is free, and students may choose from a
wide variety of classes. Participants are also reimbursed
for textbook costs. By taking college-level courses with
Northwestern undergraduates, participants in the College
Bridge Program have the opportunity to experience academic
and social life on campus. They gain confidence, experience,
and inspiration - a terrific head start for any student
preparing for college.
This year's program will take place from June 22, 2009 to August 21, 2009, as part of the regular Northwestern Summer Session, and students can earn credit for satisfactorily completed courses.

Courses
College Bridge students are eligible to take almost any of the 100- and 200-level classes on either the Chicago or Evanston campuses during Summer Session. Complete information about our course offerings, including up-to-the-minute class times and course descriptions, can be found here: http://www.northwestern.edu/summer/courses/.
Adds, Drops, and Withdrawals:
Students who have registered for a course through the College Bridge Program at Northwestern University are considered enrolled for the duration, and are expected to attend all sessions of the course for which they are registered. Excessive absences do not signal a student's intent to drop or withdraw, and is cause for failure in the course. Therefore, students wishing to change their registration in any way - by changing or dropping a course - must do so through our office. If Summer Session has already begun, certain courses may not be available for course changes. If you need to change your schedule in any way, please contact Betsy Haberl at e-haberl@northwestern.edu.
Academic Integrity
Northwestern University students and faculty are committed to scholarly principles that respect and acknowledge individual achievement. Because of this, certain behaviors are viewed as unacceptable, including cheating, plagiarism, falsifying or fabricating information, and aiding or abetting academic dishonesty. Students who violate these principles are subject to penalties, including course failure and dismissal from Northwestern University. More information on Academic Integrity is available here: www.scs.northwestern.edu/student/issues/academic_integrity.cfm.
