Registration Procedures

Registration for Summer Session is just like registering for any other quarter during the academic year, and Summer Session courses are equivalent to those offered at Northwestern in the fall, winter and spring terms. Northwestern University degree candidates enrolled during spring quarter 2008 register for courses through CAESAR at www.northwestern.edu/caesar. The Summer Session class schedule will be available in CAESAR beginning Friday, March 21st. To register you must have a valid NetID and password; if you do not have them, contact the NUIT Support Center at 847-491-HELP (4357). Appointment times for the first four days of Summer Session registration (April 14-17) are based on the last two digits of your student ID number (emplID) and are available online at www.registrar.northwestern.edu or through CAESAR.

Incoming undergraduates who have been admitted to a degree program for fall quarter 2008 must contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 847-491-7271 before May 1 to request advancement of their matriculation to Summer Session.

Note: Northwestern day school students need permission from the dean of their school to enroll in School of Continuing Studies courses. SCS courses are indicated by a -CN after the course number (example: ACCOUNT 204-CN Sec. 28). The majority of Summer Session courses do not need dean approval.

Late registration takes place Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27. You may register through CAESAR or at:
